CCB^® Sleeve For Cement and Mortar Lined Pipe

CCB International Inc.’s CCB^® sleeve can be manufactured to provide weld area protection for cement – mortar lined pipelines. The CCB^® sleeve is manufactured to the same thickness of the lining. The result is a lining that has no I.D. restriction and eliminates traditional spauling damage and loss of material durability produced by introducing extreme heat to materials that gain their strength through a hydraulic set.

The CCB^® cement sleeve offers the same weld area protection as CCB International Inc.’s CCB^® sleeve that is installed in thin film coatings. The patented CCB^® sleeve uses a multiple o-ring system and enhances installation by automatically setting the weld gap spacing with removable spacer nubs.

Unlike the tapered ends of the thin film CCB^® sleeve, the fitting designed for mortar linings is squared on the ends. The mortar is blanked off two inches inside the pipe. CCB International’s two part Propoxy is used to fill the space between the mortar and the sleeve to mold and fill irregularities between the mortar and the end of the CCB^® sleeve.
